Funding source: European Commission – Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME)

Duration: November 2017 – December 2018 (14 months)
The “Blueprint for sectoral cooperation on skills in tourism: Enhancing the image of tourism careers” aims to respond to one of the challenges that the tourism sector in the EU faces, notably to attract and retain talented people with the right skills. Therefore, the main objectives of the project are to improve the image of tourism careers; help job seekers understand the positive aspects of tourism careers; help entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to reinforce positive aspects of tourism careers and to attract new and adequate talents; facilitate the upgrade of skills; enhance visibility and upscale the use of existing tools and initiatives for employability and self-development, such as EURES.
To achieve these objectives, the project is structured around two main tasks:
- Task 1: Analysis of the expectations of job seekers and tourism entrepreneurs through advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods (desk research, interviews, multi-component surveys)
- Task 2: Communication through an awareness raising campaign and targeted events at European and national level (notably in Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Romania, and Spain).
- SCOPE/INTRASOFT Intl. (Greece)
- White Research SPRL (Belgium)
