Communications Manager – EU Affairs 

White (White Research SRL) is a young, fast developing boutique research and consultancy company headquartered in Brussels and with a satellite office in Greece. We offer policy advisory, communications & public affairs, and applied research services. We work together with leading EU (& worldwide) companies on the development and implementation of projects and campaigns, as well as academic and industrial partners on large collaborative projects (private sector projects, grants and tenders) in areas ranging from technology, sustainability and mobility to energy, innovation and skill development. Our team has a dynamic work day and can benefit from a rapid professional development and an extensive network that covers some of the most well-known private and institutional organisations in Europe.

To support the management and further growth of our Business Services department, specifically in the area related to communications, public (EU) affairs and stakeholder engagement we are currently looking for a full-time Communications Manager and team leader, with 4-6 years of experience, for our Brussels office.

Your responsibilities 

The selected candidates will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Project Management; planning and managing the implementation of communications services
  • People management; support the Communications & Public Affairs department in managing, developing and implementing business related services
  • Business development; identifying and creating new opportunities
  • Taking a leading role in the Public Affairs team in managing & implementing work for leading sector clients
  • Engagement and management of external partners and subcontractors
  • Cooperation with the other departments in further developing our business services

What we look for

We are interested in profiles with the following merits:

  • Bsc/Msc Degree in EU Affairs, Social Sciences, Business & Communications, or relevant discipline
  • 4-6 years of work experience in Communications, Public Affairs and Stakeholder engagement
  • Language skills – Our working language is English. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is a must! Fluency in other languages is a plus
  • Experience in managing (small) teams
  • Experience in managing high-level clients in the EU sphere
  • Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and network-building skills, preferably in an EU context
  • Knowledge of digital policy or sustainability is a plus
