The DE-CONSPIRATOR consortium is pleased to announce an extension for abstract submissions for its upcoming workshop titled “Research Methods Workshop: Psychological, Social and Behavioural Approaches to Foreign Information Manipulation & Interference (FIMI) Studies. 

The deadline for extended abstract submissions has been set for April 30, 2024. The workshop will take place on June 3-4, 2024, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Brussels and welcomes papers that explore, but are not limited to, the dynamics of political polarization and identity politics as drivers of (FIMI), the mechanisms through which disinformation ecosystems facilitate FIMI, public perceptions of FIMI and its broader socio-political effects, the influence of FIMI on institutional trust and societal cohesion, the nexus between FIMI, strategic corruption, and state capture, along with strategies to counteract FIMI’s detrimental effects on democracy.  

This workshop is an exceptional opportunity for scholars, practitioners, and anyone interested in the psychological, social, and behavioural dimensions of information manipulation to share their research, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to shaping the discourse on this critical issue.
