This kick-off meeting marks the beginning of an exciting new initiative funded by the European Research Executive Agency (REA), bringing together 17 key partners from Turkey, Greece, and Ukraine. The gathering focused on aligning the project’s goals, expectations, and deliverables to ensure a smooth and successful collaboration.
What is the Excel4Pro Project?
Excel4Pro is set to drive transformative change in the agri-food sector by stimulating scientific excellence and strengthening the capacity of regional hubs in Turkey, Greece, and Ukraine. The project focuses on creating a single, interconnected cross-border Excellence Hub, leveraging the strategic location and scale of protein-rich crop production in these countries. Strategically located at the crossroads of the Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East, Eastern Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe, these countries have access to a market of over 600 million people. This positioning gives the project a unique opportunity to shape the future of the agri-food sector. By building strong plant-based protein ecosystems, driving innovation, and offering sustainable food solutions, Excel4Pro is set to make a powerful impact across the region.
