The GreenFit Project brings together researchers, agri-tech innovators, farmers, and field actors to accelerate the adoption of climate-smart farming practices across Europe. By integrating advanced technologies such as AI-powered decision-support tools, IoT sensors, XR-based training platforms, and real-time solutions like the AgriChatbot and drone-in-a-box systems, GreenFit supports more efficient resource use, informed decision-making, and increased resilience to climate change.
Key Objectives and Vision
GreenFit aims to overcome the key obstacles that limit the transition to sustainable farming by offering accessible, tech-enabled solutions tailored to real-world agricultural needs. The project nurtures collaboration across the agri-food value chain and enhances digital infrastructure to promote long-term impact and scalability. Central to this effort are innovations like an LLM-based AgriChatbot and a drone-in-a-box system for soil analysis and crop health monitoring.
Beyond technology, GreenFit emphasizes on human-centered development. Through capacity-building programs and knowledge-sharing platforms, the project ensures that farmers and rural stakeholders are directly involved in shaping and benefiting from the digital transformation of agriculture. This grassroots engagement fosters stronger community ownership and drives both environmental stewardship and economic resilience at the local level.
What Sets GREENFIT Apart
What truly sets GreenFit apart is its strong focus on people and place. Through hands-on training, interactive workshops, and ongoing stakeholder engagement, the project ensures that solutions are community-driven, locally relevant, and built for long-term scalability. GreenFit’s mission is to empower farmers and rural communities to lead the transition toward sustainable agriculture, delivering tangible environmental, social, and economic benefits well beyond the project’s lifetime.
How will it do it
To turn its vision into action, GREENFIT will:
- Expand field demonstrations to include hands-on experiences with digital tools like Drone-in-a-Box and the Digital Agriculture Observatory.
- Integrate Extended Reality (XR) into agricultural training to create immersive, realistic learning environments.
- Establish rewards and incentives through value-chain partnerships to encourage sustained use of sustainable practices.
- Leverage mobile and digital learning platforms, delivering user-friendly content supported by data insights from the Digital Agriculture Observatory.
- Empower local communities and regional authorities with data-driven insights to tailor local solutions.
- Implement a continuous feedback loop to refine practices and technologies based on real-world user experience.
- Strengthen community ties using digital tools to facilitate ongoing engagement, knowledge exchange, and support.
White Research’s Role in GREENFIT
White Research (WR) is at the forefront of shaping GreenFit’s strategy to communication, dissemination, and exploitation. Our team is developing a cohesive strategy that not only raises awareness of the project’s achievements but also ensures they are accessible, relevant, and actionable for a wide range of audiences. By actively involving stakeholders from the local to the EU level, WR encourages open exchange and collaboration around climate-smart practices, helping to drive real-world adoption and long-term impact.
In parallel, WR is designing a robust framework for the Value Chain Partnerships Mechanism. This initiative focuses on connecting key players across the agri-food value chain, facilitating collaboration, and establishing long-term, cross-sector partnerships. Through strategic mapping and stakeholder engagement, we aim to strengthen innovation, resilience, and sustainability within the sector.
With our extensive experience in managing communication and stakeholder engagement activities across EU-funded initiatives, White Research brings the strategic insight and hands-on expertise needed to amplify GreenFit’s visibility and impact. Our experience ensures that project messages are not only well-crafted and targeted, but also capable of inspiring action and fostering long-term change across Europe’s agri-food systems.
