Project narrative

Cancer is a major public health challenge in the EU, that carries a significant economic burden and causing millions of deaths annually. A significant impact of cancer can be mitigated through preventive measures such as screening. In this direction, the increasing amount and availability of cancer imaging-related data and novel approaches based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), unlock a multitude of opportunities against cancer.

The INCISIVE project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of 26 partners that are developing and validating in a technical and commercial sense, AI and ML-based tools together with a pan-European repository of medical images. To this end studies in 8 pilot sites from 5 different countries will be carried out involving at least 2,600 patients.

We are responsible to define the innovation management strategy, for securing sustainability and exploitation of all project’s results beyond its lifetime. We will also validate and improve the developed business models and set up a thorough business plan.
