Project narrative

WENDY aims to unravel the factors that trigger the social acceptance of wind farms through an in-depth analysis of social sciences and humanities, environmental sciences and technology engineering aspects. The project will develop measures such as guidelines, reports, tools and manuals to promote wider acceptance of project solutions. All the material developed will be used in 10 wind projects in 4 countries selected for their geographical location, maturity, type of wind energy and coexistence with other activities. Actions tailored to each case study will be carried out to establish the WENDY Knowledge Hubs, which will engage key stakeholders in the wind energy value chain.

The WENDY Knowledge Exchange Platform will be developed to facilitate knowledge exchange during wind farm planning processes.

We are responsible for the market research activities through the analysis of stakeholders’ perceptions, needs, challenges and willingness to accept and participate in wind farms. Furthermore, we are responsible for the stakeholder engagement activities leading to the development of WENDY’s Knowledge hubs, to facilitate interaction with key stakeholders from the wide value chain of wind farm development.
